Why this policy exists

Rental disputes affect money, housing and business operations. A reader may act on what is written here, so the standard applied to this content has to be higher than the standard for ordinary marketing pages.

This policy sets out how content is produced and checked. It is published so that readers can judge for themselves how much weight to give what they read.

How content is produced

Each page begins with a defined purpose: the question it answers, the reader it is written for, and the stage of a dispute it addresses. Pages are planned before they are written, so that each one covers a distinct topic rather than repeating another.

Content is drafted, then edited for accuracy and clarity, then reviewed before publication. A page is published only after the review described below is complete.

We do not publish content that is written to fill space, to repeat a keyword, or to make a page appear longer than the subject requires.

Authorship and editorial oversight

Content on this website is produced by the Dubai Rental Disputes team and published under the name of the organisation rather than under an individual byline.

Editorial oversight is the responsibility of Firas Ahmad, Managing Partner. This covers what is published, how it is structured, and whether it meets the standards set out in this policy.

Editorial oversight is separate from legal review. The two are carried out by different people, and a page is not published until both are complete.

Legal review

Content that describes a legal procedure, a right, an obligation or a possible course of action is reviewed before publication by Dr. Mohammed Al-Ramlawi, who holds a degree in law and a doctorate in international arbitration.

The reviewer checks that procedures are described correctly, that no statement overstates what the law provides, and that nothing on the page could be read as advice on a specific matter.

Pages that do not describe a legal procedure, such as contact and policy pages, do not go through legal review. Each page shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed.

Fact-checking

Before a page is published, every factual statement in it is checked against a source. Where a statement cannot be supported by a reliable source, it is removed rather than softened.

Two categories receive particular attention:

• Fees and costs. We publish an official fee only where it is stated by the authority that charges it, and we identify the source. Where a figure cannot be verified as current, we say that fees should be confirmed with the authority instead of publishing a number.
• Timelines. We do not publish a duration presented as typical unless it comes from an official source. Timelines depend on the facts of a matter, and an invented average would mislead a reader who is deciding when to act.

Sources and methodology

We rely on primary sources wherever one exists. In order of preference:

• Publications of the relevant authority, including the Rental Disputes Center and the Dubai Land Department.
• Published legislation and official regulations.
• Official government portals for procedural steps and requirements.
• The direct professional experience of the licensed professionals who carry out this work, where a point is procedural rather than legal.

What we do not publish

The following are excluded as a matter of policy:

• Any guarantee or prediction of the outcome of a dispute.
• Case results, testimonials or ratings that cannot be verified.
• Claims of experience, volume or ranking that are not supported by evidence.
• Content copied or closely paraphrased from a competitor or any other website.
• Machine-translated text published without review by a person who works in that language.

Corrections

If you believe something on this website is inaccurate, tell us. Send the page address and the statement you are questioning to the address at the bottom of this page.

We check every report we receive. Where a statement is wrong, we correct it and update the review date on the page. Where a correction changes the meaning of what was published rather than fixing wording, we note that the page was corrected and when.

We do not ignore a report because it is inconvenient, and we do not correct silently where the original statement could have caused a reader to act differently.

Updates and review cycle

Laws, procedures and official fees change. Every page carries the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed, so that a reader can see how current it is.

Pages that describe procedures, fees or requirements are reviewed periodically, and immediately when we become aware of a relevant change. A page that is no longer accurate is corrected or withdrawn rather than left in place.

Editorial independence

This website does not carry advertising, sponsored posts, or paid placements. No third party pays to be mentioned, recommended, or linked to.

Where we link to an external website, it is because the source is useful to the reader. A link is never sold, exchanged, or given in return for anything.

This website describes services we provide, and that commercial interest is stated openly. It does not change how a procedure is described: where a route is unsuitable, unnecessary, or worse for the reader than an alternative, we say so.
